NATIONAL PARK PAKLENICA

Paklenica is a common name for two canyon valleys (Velika and Mala Paklenica Aare the most beautiful part of the mountain mass of Velebit, which UNESCO has included in the world's biosphere reserves) with high cliffs and 400m, perpendicular to the direction of the mountain, from the sea to the highest peaks. At the touch of the sea and the mountains, in the vertically cut and deep canyons of the Podgora valley that follows the main ridge of Velebit, there are plenty of interesting and unusual natural phenomena. Exceptional nature exhilarates people's curiosity and inspires visitors. NP Paklenica is the most famous mountaineering center known outside the borders of Croatia.

ZADAR

NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES

Plitvice Lakes are the oldest and the largest national park of the Republic of Croatia. With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lovers, so it was proclaimed the first national park in Croatia on April 8, 1949.

NATIONAL PARK KRKA WATERFALLS

The National Park is a spacious, predominantly unchanged area of exceptional and multiple natural values, and includes one or more preserved or slightly altered ecosystems. Its purpose is primarily scientific, cultural, educational and recreational, and for visitors there are also tourist activities. The flooded part of the river Krka is about 72.5 km long and the length of the 22 rivers in Croatia. It runs at the foot of the Dinara mountain, 3.5 km northeast of Knin. With seven sedrenic waterfalls and a total fall of 224 m, Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. The sloping waterfalls of the Krka River are the fundamental phenomenon of this river.

NATIONAL PARK KORNATI

The National Park was proclaimed in 1980 and then protected. The total area of the park is about 220 km² and consists of 89 islands, islets and cliffs. Only about 1/4 of the total surface is mainland while the rest is the marine ecosystem. It features natural and cultural features. The vertical cliffs of the "crown" of the Kornati islands facing the open sea are the most popular phenomenon of this park.
